In obedience, the training begins using a Positive Reinforcement Method. The normal time frame for this is between seven to ten days. The dog will be taught the (5) five major commands in obedience which are:

So as to limit the use of the leash as much as possible, all of this is training is followed by the Positive Reinforcement Method - letting your dog know just how good he/she is doing, as well as affirming affection to your pet.
